Guanaco Brownfield Potential

Amancaya

Mining operations are focussed on the Central vein.

In August 2017 trenching results from the Nueva Vein (Veta Nueva), a north-south trending structure that returned anomalous gold float samples, identified high grade gold mineralisation on the mostly covered structure. The discovery of this mineralised vein was achieved through a low cost program of float mapping and geochemistry, ground magnetics and Very Low Frequency (“VLF”) radio geophysical surveying. This program has doubled the strike length of vein structures on the project to approximately 40km, many of which are covered by gravels, caliche and quaternary lava flows.

 

The Nueva Vein has typical low sulphidation textures with high grade gold in narrow oxidised quartz veins and breccias. Given the near surface expression, length, currently over 2.8km in strike length, and grade of mineralisation the Company is expecting to continue exploration to define a first pass drilling program in late 2017.
